Norman W. Moen was born in Canby, Minnesota on October 15, 1917. He earned his bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees from the University of Minnesota. He joined the faculty of General College in 1946, and served as professor, administrator and assistant dean during his 25 years with the College. He is best known for his course on Minnesota history and was instrumental in the development of the American Indian and African American and African studies programs at the University of Minnesota. ...
